grocery story

I went to Aldi (discounted grocery store that sells both brand name and generic brands) today to buy some basics. I ended up buying more that expected, but still was within my $60 budget. (yay!) I usually buy groceries once every 2 weeks. I typically spend between $60-$80!! (yikes)!! um yea.



So before I go grocery shopping I have to have my reusable shopping bags in my car (if I don't then I have to buy some- ug!! and they are 25 cents/brown paper bag and 50 cents per plastic bag). Then I have to have a quarter (you need a quarter to "rent" a shopping cart). Now that I'm ready to go I have to be in the mood to go shopping and not starving! If I am either of the mentioned, I really really shouldn't go shopping. I may run over small children with my cart (J/K!!).



Today I went to Aldi's food store after work. Everything was good to go. Even the weather went along with my shopping experience (rain!!). haha. So I entered the store and everything is placed in large groups (like no 4 shelves, but 2 shelves at most or just large piles of goods). I picked up some m&ms (for my sister's bday present), chocolate pudding (yum!), vegetable oil, tortilla chips, mexican blend shredded cheese, eggs, cereal bars, granola bars, paper towels, taco shells, spinach, broccoli, celery, ground turkey, boneless chicken breast, fish sticks (yes this is a kids food :P), frozen macaroni and cheese, walnuts, pringles chips in sour cream flavor and original flavor, butter, mashed potato mix, and stuffing mix. I needed some soy milk, but Aldi's doesn't carry it :(. I have to go to Big Y or Shop & Shop for some.

Then I put all of my groceries onto the conveyor belt and waited for the cashier to ring me up. He keeps ringing me up more than once on certain items like pudding, stuffing, and broccoli and voiding it out. I'm glad I looked at my receipt after I paid because he did make a mistake. He rung me up twice for broccoli. I would have lost $1.79 :(. It doesn't seem like a lot of money, but I'm on a budget right now and that money can be used for my soy milk. I asked him to call the manager to get a refund.

Then had to bag all of my items over to the side. Aldi has you bag after you purchase your food items. So I went over to a long counter area and pulled out my reusable bags and bagged my items. (YAY! I HAD ENOUGH BAGS FOR A CHANGE!).

Then I loaded my car full of groceries. I drove home. Then I had to haul all of my food up 2 flights of stairs. I think I had like 5 grocery bags plus my work hello kitty tote bag ^_^ and my purse. Ahh!!

It was worth in the end. I got to eat my chocolate pudding!! I'm so weird because I like Aldi pudding. It's not even brand name. W/e. I only eat it like once a year. My body can't handle so many processed foods anymore haha. TMI.

Oh and I got the walnuts because they are suppose to be good for your brain. I'll get back to you on that one...if i remember LOL! @_@

Hello Kitty

I made the decision to stop buying myself hello kitty products since I went on a strick budget. -_-. So yea basically I just can't purchase "extra" stuff that I don't absolutely need. I can't buy any more for myself, but my friends can feel free to buy hello kity for me :). I really, really want a hello kitty t-shirt, but the ones I like are all over $20 >_<.

The last hello kitty product that I have purchased was from the Sanrio store. I was excited to purchase this item because it was on clearance (random since it's not Easter yet!). Yay for me!! It is the hello kitty easter cellphone charm. She is dressed up as an Easter bunny and it's super cute! I'm going to use it on my cellphone for the month of April. I don't celebrate Easter, but I like bunnies and hello kitty.

I have to show you my Hello Kitty Easter stuffed animal/plushie toy. I got it like over 7 years ago!! Crazy!!!

I'll also take a pic of the cellphone charm ^_^.

I straightened the front part of my hair tonight. My co-worker said she wouldn't mind trimming my bangs for me. :). I'm super excited!!! So right now they are straight and long and ready to go for tomorrow!! Show you then!
